SINKING FUND LEGISLATION SCHEDULED FOR A VOTE

This week the Senate Education Committee will be voting on SB 367 sponsored by Sen. Wayne Kuipers (R) and SB 54 sponsored by Sen. Gretchen Whitmer (D). The two bills pertain to the expanded use of Sinking Fund dollars to include the purchase of buses and technology equipment/infrastructure. The Senate may break for the for spring vacation, and the momentum we are gaining may be lost.

MASA, along with other education associations are urging Sen. Bishop to schedule a vote, but we could use your help. Please contact your legislator (provided) and encourage them to ask that the bills be voted out of committee, and brought to the full body for approval.
