Schools and libraries hoping to receive funding next year under the $2.25 billion-a-year eRate will have from November 14, 2006 to February 7, 2007 to submit their applications. The annual Eligible Services List has been released.

An attempt is being made to make customer service a top priority, adding services and online functions. A revamped website intended to help applicants find information more efficiently and an electronic PIN system enabling program applicants to file required forms for consideration vial the interned are in existence.

Applicants are urged to file early, file online and avoid filing Priority 1 and Priority 2 services on the same application (they can be filed separately). For more information visit the USAC website.
