Six new Middle College High Schools

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and the Michigan Department of Education have announced grants, totaling $2 million, to create six new Middle College High Schools to help prepare students for careers in health care and the challenges of the 21st Century economy. The new schools, which will focus on the “3 Rs—Rigor, Relationships, and Relevance,” are expected to open in Fall 2007.
