The online version of The Conference Daily, AASA’s comprehensive report on the proceedings of the association’s annual conference, is expanding in two important ways in Tampa, Fla., next month.

During AASA’s 2008 national conference from Feb. 14-17, the electronic newspaper will include sound bites of 30 to 90 seconds in length of that day’s key speakers. In addition, four AASA members will participate in a group blog, allowing them to post brief commentaries about their conference experiences, both formal and informal, once or twice each day. The bloggers represent a range of professional backgrounds — a relative newcomer to the superintendency, a veteran superintendent, a superintendent who moved last year into higher education and a longtime professor of educational administration.

The print edition of The Conference Daily will be distributed three consecutive mornings at the Tampa convention center. The online edition will appear on the AASA home page (www.aasa.org). It will include a dozen or more news stories and features each day along with photos of the conference scene.
