Student health reports now available from MiPHY

Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth (MiPHY) is pleased to announce that 2007-08 county reports are now available on the www.michigan.gov/miphy website.

To access MiPHY reports, follow the link under Reports. A minimum of at least two districts and at least two building types (middle school or high school) must participate for a county/regional report to generate. Reports are representative of students that took the survey, not necessarily of all students in the county.

For the 2007-08 MiPHY, 33 county reports are available representing 163 participating districts across 334 buildings.

High school and middle school county summary tables are available by topic. Each report includes a District and Building Participation Summary as well as a Student Demographics Summary. High school behavioral reports include comparison 2007 Michigan YRBS results.

Available topical reports are:

  • Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • Tobacco (including asthma)
  • Violence (includes safety and suicide)
  • Physical Activity
  • Weight and Nutrition (includes asthma, diabetes, and wellness visits)
  • Sexual Behavior
  • Risk and Protective Factors
Please share this information with your colleagues and networks.  The MiPHY will open again in October 2009 to provide local student surveying for the 2009-10 school year.  The MiPHY website (www.michigan.gov/miphy) and, for schools, the MiPHY Survey Administration website will contain news and updates relating to the survey.
