Supreme Court considers giving teachers partial lawsuit immunity

A case heard by the U.S. Supreme Court this month could offer teachers protection from being sued for their actions at school unless they violate well-known laws. Police officers already receive such qualified immunity, and similar protections for educators could spare teachers from costly litigation expenses. The court is expected to rule on the case by June.
