In the interest of continuing to move the Chinese Language & Culture Initiative forward, MASA Executive Director, William H. Mayes, recently accompanied a group of Michigan educators on a tour of China . Mayes served as “Head of Delegation” for the group, which visited China as part of a study tour from Oct. 22 through Nov. 2.

The tour was facilitated by faculty from the MSU College of Education and was led by Professor Yong Zhao, Professor and Director of the US-China Center for Research on Educational Excellence. MASA members included in the tour:

• Jeanne Oakes, Superintendent, Mason-Lake ISD/Oceana ISD
