Interpreting Test Score Trends and Gaps |
|||||||
REL Midwest at Learning Point Associates invites you to this event, featuring Dr. Andrew Ho from the University of Iowa. This meeting is part of REL Midwest’s ongoing series of Connecting Research to Practice events. Dr. Ho’s seminal work focuses on appropriate representations of proficiency rates. At this meeting Dr. Ho will discuss some common misinterpretations of proficiency rates and then describe alternative approaches to reporting and comparing proficiency rates that support more sound inferences and decision-making. This highly engaging and stimulating day of events will include presentations by Dr. Ho, group discussions of proficiency rate interpretations, and an opportunity for states in the Midwest to examine their student proficiency data in light of Dr. Ho’s recommendations. The event is designed to inform leaders in the field of education whose work is related to the collection and interpretation of student performance data over time. Learning Point Associates has reserved a block of rooms at $155/night. Although you will be responsible for making your own travel arrangements, REL Midwest will reimburse you for your expenses related to lodging and transportation after you complete the travel expense form distributed at the meeting.
