MASA, MASB and MSBO are co-hosting Districts in Distress: Preparing for the Worst. The program will cover a variety of important issues related to school finance and labor relations. Participants can choose from four knowledge tracks:

• Finance - Dealing with Deficits Before and During
• Labor Relations Basics-For New Board Members
• Opening School without a Contract - Fact Finding, Impasse and Beyond
• When the Going Gets Tough - Dealing with Labor Disputes

The day will also feature district officials from Wayne-Westland Community Schools discussing the lessons learned from their recent labor strike and will conclude with a media panel moderated by Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick.
