Transparency Reporting “widget” available

Budget TransparencySchool districts now working to comply with Michigan’s financial transparency reporting requirements can get some FREE help in getting the required badge on their home pages.

Foxbright, which powers the  websites of many Michigan districts, is offering coding for a badge at no cost. Using this badge can reduce the cost of compliance to near zero by removing the need to do any home page design modifications. It also has been reviewed and approved by the MDE.

The code for this “widget” along with a more detailed description, examples and instructions are available at: http://www.foxbright.com/support/budgetbadgescript/

Kevin Wilson of Foxbright said his company people figured they would simply share the badge coding with anyone needing it, realizing that time is short to meet the July 31 deadline for posting.
